Physical Therapy Assistant PRN

About the role

Provides physical therapy services under the supervision of a physical therapist and in accordance with the physician's plan of care. This PRN role involves delivering direct treatments to relieve pain, restore or develop function, and maintain patient performance.

Responsibilities

• Guide patients through therapeutic exercises
• Utilize physical agents such as heat, cold, ultrasound, and massage
• Instruct patients on the use of assistive devices (e.g., wheelchairs, braces)
• Maintain accurate records of treatments and patient progress
• Observe and document patient reactions to treatments

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited physical therapy assistant program with an associate’s degree
• Current CPR certification
• Active licensure as a Physical Therapy Assistant
• Ability to navigate typical residence barriers
• Compassionate approach to patient care

Qualifications

• Preferred: At least one year of clinical experience in settings such as in-home health or hospice
• Excellent communication skills
• Professional attitude
