About the role
Join a compassionate healthcare team as a Physical Therapy Assistant, providing skilled services under a licensed Physical Therapist to support hospice patients' comfort and mobility.
Responsibilities
- Delivering physical therapy interventions such as therapeutic exercises, gait training, and use of physical agents in accordance with care plans and state regulations.
- Monitoring patient responses, documenting progress accurately, and reporting changes to the Physical Therapist.
- Educating patients on the safe use of mobility and supportive devices.
- Participating in interdisciplinary team discussions, home care meetings, and quality improvement activities.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program with an associate degree.
- Current PTA certification or licensure required by state law.
- Strong communication, organizational, and documentation skills.
- Current CPR certification.
- Licensed driver with a reliable, insured vehicle.
