About the Role

The Physical Therapist Assistant provides treatment, exercise instruction, and patient education to enhance patient well-being within an established care plan.

Responsibilities

• Follow state laws and supervise physical therapist directives.
• Assist patients with exercises, gait, transfers, and safety training.
• Observe, document, and report patient responses and condition changes.
• Coordinate care with healthcare team members.
• Educate patients, families, and caregivers on therapy within scope.
• Adapt to diverse home environments, ensuring respectful and competent care.

Requirements

• Current licensure or certification in physical therapy assistance.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting and mobility assistance.

Preferred Qualifications

• CPR certification.
• Experience with physical tasks related to patient mobility.
