Physical Therapy Assistant - Full Time

Role Overview

The Physical Therapist Assistant provides treatment, exercise instruction, and patient education to improve patient well-being, adhering to the established plan of care under supervision.

Key Responsibilities

• Follow state-specific laws and treatment protocols set by the supervising Physical Therapist.
• Assist patients with active/passive exercises, gait, transfers, ADLs, and prosthetic training.
• Monitor and report patient responses and condition changes to the healthcare team.
• Educate patients, families, and caregivers on therapy activities within scope.
• Operate effectively in diverse home environments, respecting patient differences.

Qualifications & Skills

• Current license or certification to practice physical therapy assistance in the state.
• Valid driver's license, vehicle insurance, and access to transportation.
• Availability for weekend rotations.
• Preferred: CPR certification (or ability to obtain), physical ability for mobility assistance.
