About the Role

The Physical Therapist Assistant supports the Physical Therapist by performing delegated physical therapy procedures and tasks. They modify treatments based on patient status within the established plan, document patient progress, and ensure safe, effective care. The role involves addressing age-specific needs, treating patients with respect and dignity, and managing patient pain according to departmental policies. The assistant reports safety issues, provides technical guidance to therapy aides, and coordinates workload within the department.

Qualifications & Skills

• Associate degree in relevant field
• Current license as a Physical Therapist Assistant
• Basic Life Support certification from the American Heart Association
• Entry-level experience acceptable
