Physical Therapy Assist

About the Role

As a Staff Physical Therapist Assistant, you’ll collaborate with licensed therapists to deliver personalized treatment plans and directly impact patients’ mobility, pain relief, and emotional well-being.

Responsibilities

• Review evaluations and treatment plans written by a Licensed Physical Therapist and implement patient treatment programs.
• Assist with the physical integration of patients to various surfaces, including hills, stairs, even, and uneven surfaces.
• Provide pain relief modalities (e.g., hot/cold packs, omni stim units, neuromuscular stimulation, transcutaneous nerve stimulation) and perform light/deep massage if trained.
• Conduct monthly reassessments, update patient programs, and advance modules under the direction of a Licensed Physical Therapist.
• Maintain accurate records and reports, and communicate with patients, insurance representatives, families, and interdisciplinary therapists.
• Continuously monitor patient progress under the direct supervision of a therapist.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Physical Therapy Assistant program required.
• Current licensure or eligibility for licensure in the state of employment.
• Membership in APTA is desirable.

Pay

Pay range is $33.00 – $44.00 per hour.
