PHYSICAL THERAPY AIDE (PART TIME)
Job Summary
Utilizes proper body mechanics to assist patients in and out of the bed and/or chair. Provides support while walking patients for a designated period of time.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Walks with patients based on physician’s orders.
- Applies body mechanics, transfer techniques, and use of assistive devices as needed to assist a patient walk in the facility for a designated period based on the clinical care plan.
- Adhere to daily schedule for patient ambulation.
- Adhere to safety protocols when patient has been identified by medical personnel as a fall risk.
- Completes any required documentation regarding ambulation for patient’s medical records.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to walk or stand for prolonged periods.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- High School Diploma, GED or equivalent combination of education and experience

About the Role
We are hiring immediately for a part time PHYSICAL THERAPY AIDE position. Location: Delta One - Terminal 4 JFK International Airport, Jamaica, New York 11430. Note: online applications accepted only. Schedule: Part time schedule; Days and hours may vary. Weekend availability is required. More details upon interview. Requirement: A valid New York State massage therapy license is required. Fixed Pay Rate: $40.00 per hour.
