A Brief Overview

Performs supportive patient related and non-patient related tasks as directed by professional staff. Follows the policies and procedures of the department and hospital.

What You Will Do

Maintains working areas and equipment in clean and orderly condition
Stores and maintains and changes linen
Prepares and cleans hydrotherapy equipment in accordance with departmental procedures
Ambulates patients using proper guarding techniques
Assists with patient transfers from all surfaces
Aids therapists with dressing changes for patients requiring wound care
Fulfills Infection Control Procedures
Measures, adjusts, and instructs patients in basic crutch walking
Prepares patients for specific treatment, including transporting to and within the department
Aids in toileting of patients as directed by professional staff
Reports safety hazards to Administrative Director or Supervisor
Maintains inventory of supplies for the department
Incorporates physiological age of patients into overall plan for delivery of patient care
Maintains confidentiality
Complies with Hospital dress code policy and maintains professional appearance
Provides proper notification for absence and tardiness
Performs other duties as assigned and within the scope of training

Education Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent

Experience Qualifications

Less than 1 year on the job training experience in treatment set-ups, ordering supplies, and guarding techniques

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Ability to apply appropriate body mechanics and use of assistive equipment in all patient transfers
Licenses and Certifications: Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), AHA CPR within 90 days

Pay Range

If you are hired at Holy Name, your final base compensation will be determined based on factors such as employment status (Full/Part-Time or Per Diem), skills, education, and/or experience. In addition to those factors – we believe in the importance of pay equity and consider any internal equity of our current team members as a part of any final offer.
