Physical Therapy Aide

Position Summary

The Physical Therapy Aide will assist the physical therapist in the performance of physical therapy treatments. Responsible for supporting day-to-day functions and processes operating within the Craig Hospital Physical Therapy department.

Position Requirements

• Licensure/Certification/Registrations: Current BLS for the Healthcare Provider through the American Heart Association required.
• Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience: None required.

• Ability to compile data, analyze data, and make decisions that support department and hospital objectives.
• Excellent organization and customer service skills.
• Ability to successfully handle multiple priorities and prioritize and schedule accordingly while meeting established deadlines.
• Must be able to successfully and effectively communicate with a variety of personnel.
• Able to maintain a high degree of accuracy, dependability, and strong attention to detail both mechanically and technically.
• Possess above-average problem-solving skills, judgment, and flexibility.

Essential Functions

• Assist the physical therapists in performing treatments on adolescent, adult and geriatric patients as instructed by the therapists.
• Maintain daily records of treatments administered.
• Communicate daily with the physical therapists regarding issues relating to interactions with patients.
• Obtain and assemble equipment as requested by the therapists.
• Aid the occupational therapists with patient transfers as time allows.
• Process paperwork daily as instructed.
• Assist in department housekeeping duties.
• Perform delegated duties as outlined by physical therapists and P.T. supervisors.

Craig Hospital Salary Range: $18.65/ Hour - $26.86/ Hour
