About the role
Premise’s mission is to help people get, stay, and be well. As a Part Time Physical Therapist, you’ll provide care to client employees in our Health Centers located in McLean and Vienna, VA, with opportunities for additional shifts in Winchester, VA.
Schedule
- 18 hours per week
- 10 hours at the Health Center in McLean, VA
- 8 hours at the Health Center in Vienna, VA; Monday 7:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
- Additional shifts available at our Health Center in Winchester, VA
Responsibilities
- Provide physical therapy services in collaboration with doctors, NPs, PAs, nurses, dietitians, wellness coaches, and community providers to promote health and wellness to onsite employees and their dependents
- Practice according to APTA professional standards, incorporating current research, clinical reasoning, and patient values when evaluating, assessing, and developing individualized treatment plans
- Promote direct access to physical therapy services and practice at the highest skill level
- Demonstrate excellent interpersonal communication through participation in Health Center meetings, patient care meetings, and clear documentation and reporting to onsite and community referral sources
- Participate in continuing competence activities including peer review, presentations, and optionally grand rounds
- Work with client stakeholders such as safety officers, ergonomists, human resources, and vendors to promote employee safety in the workplace
- Develop and administer injury prevention and health promotion presentations, workshops, and programs for onsite employees and eligible populations, including:
- Weekend Warrior musculoskeletal screens
- Triathlon preparation workshops
- Health Back Programs
- Stretch and Flex exercise classes
- Teach proper body mechanics at employees’ workstations and assess/correct poor ergonomics
- Develop and administer specific programs based on identified needs
Requirements
- All state licenses/certifications to practice
- Current board certificate (if applicable)
- Degree from an accredited Physical/Occupational Therapy School
- CPR (BLS for the Healthcare Provider/Professional Rescuer) with hands-on evaluation of skills; online-only courses will not be accepted
- At least three years’ experience as a Physical Therapist in an outpatient physical therapy clinic or other ambulatory care clinic
- Outpatient orthopedic experience required
Pay
Premise provides a reasonable and genuinely expected range of compensation for this job of $48.00 – $60.00 per hour. A number of factors will influence the rate offered, including experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other considerations.
