Physical Therapist - Travel Contract
Join our team as a traveling Physical Therapist in Lexington, KY, where you’ll help patients recover from injuries and manage chronic conditions while experiencing a new location. This outpatient role serves patients with pelvic health, general orthopedics, post-operative care, vestibular, and gait/balance therapy needs. Local clinicians within 50 miles may be considered at a local rate.
About the role
- Shift: Days
- Guaranteed 36 hours per week with expectation to work up to 40 hours
- Overtime must be approved by the director before any OT hours are worked
- Float to other clinics within the regional clinic network may be required
- Patient population includes pelvic health, general orthopedics, post-op, vestibular, and gait/balance
- Productivity expectation: approximately 60 visits per week; typically 12–14 patients per day with double-booking of follow-up visits expected
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality outpatient physical therapy services that improve patient function and quality of life
- Work within interdisciplinary teams to deliver patient-centered care across musculoskeletal and vestibular conditions
- Maintain documentation and productivity standards to support clinic operations and patient access
Requirements
- Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program approved by the APTA
- Active Kentucky state physical therapy license required to start the assignment
- BLS certification from AHA or ARC may be required
- Outpatient experience preferred
- Must not be a new graduate; first-time travelers are acceptable
- Experience treating pelvic health, general orthopedics, post-op patients, vestibular disorders, and gait/balance is preferred
- Ability to meet productivity expectations and willingness to float to other clinics as needed
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior outpatient clinic experience with similar patient populations
- Experience working in multi-clinic systems and willingness to float between clinics when required
