Physical Therapist - Travel Contract

About the Role

We are seeking a traveling Physical Therapist to provide outpatient care in Winchester, VA. The position involves evaluating patients, developing and implementing individualized treatment plans, and adjusting them based on clinical progress and physician input. The role emphasizes delivering quality patient care, participating in safety and performance initiatives, and maintaining licensure and continuing education.

Responsibilities

• Conduct patient assessments and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Adjust treatment plans based on clinical progress and physician input.
• Provide accurate documentation of patient care and progress.
• Educate patients and families on treatment plans and home exercises.
• Supervise support staff or students as needed.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
• Participate in safety and performance improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
• Active Virginia Physical Therapy license.
• Minimum of 6 months outpatient experience with skills in evaluations, treatment planning, and documentation.
• Experience with functional treatment programs and patient education.

Preferred Skills

• Knowledge of outpatient workflows.
• Experience with safe patient handling and infection control.
