Physical Therapist - Sports Medicine Coordinator

About the role

As a Physical Therapist – Sports Medicine Coordinator, you will partner with clinic leadership to facilitate and foster relationships with area sports medicine physicians as well as youth, high school, and adult sports organizations with a goal of enhancing OSPT as a sports physical therapy provider-of-choice. This role will be an enhancement to your full patient caseload with additional responsibilities to include program development meeting attendance, and communication with physicians.

Responsibilities

  • Delivering high-quality, evidence-based patient care focused on restoring movement, strength, and function
  • Developing and progressing individualized treatment plans using manual therapy, therapeutic exercise, and functional rehabilitation techniques
  • Partnering with physicians, athletic trainers, and local sports organizations to grow OSPT's sports medicine program and promote injury prevention
  • Education and motivation of patients to stay engaged in their recovery and long-term wellness
  • Collaboration with colleagues and support staff to ensure seamless, patient-centered care
  • Accurate documentation of treatment sessions and outcomes in Prompt EMR system

Qualifications

  • Appreciation for a new facility with the latest equipment and a functional training/fitness center next door
  • Preference for a full-time, 5-day a week schedule
  • An active or pending Massachusetts PT license and graduation from a CAPTE-accredited PT school
  • One year experience as a physical therapist preferred with knowledge or track record in sports medicine-related program development
