About the role
As a Physical Therapist – Sports Medicine Coordinator, you will partner with clinic leadership to facilitate and foster relationships with area sports medicine physicians as well as youth, high school, and adult sports organizations with a goal of enhancing OSPT as a sports physical therapy provider-of-choice. This role will be an enhancement to your full patient caseload with additional responsibilities to include program development meeting attendance, and communication with physicians.
Responsibilities
- Delivering high-quality, evidence-based patient care focused on restoring movement, strength, and function
- Developing and progressing individualized treatment plans using manual therapy, therapeutic exercise, and functional rehabilitation techniques
- Pricing and progressing individualized treatment plans using manual therapy, therapeutic exercise, and functional rehabilitation techniques
- Partnership with physicians, athletic trainers, and local sports organizations to grow OSPT's sports medicine program and promote injury prevention
- Education and motivation of patients to stay engaged in their recovery and long-term wellness
- Collaboration with colleagues and support staff to ensure seamless, patient-centered care
- Accurate documentation of treatment sessions and outcomes in Prompt EMR system
Requirements
- Passion for delivering quality, evidence-based patient care
- Desire to take the next step in your career and expand your position to a senior, manager or director role and assist with sports medicine program development
- High interest in sports medicine and manual-based care
- Ability to thrive in a high-energy, fast-paced, and positive team environment
- Superior customer service with strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Appreciation for a new facility with the latest equipment and a functional training/fitness center next door
- Full-time, 5-day a week schedule preference
- Active or pending Massachusetts PT license and graduation from a CAPTE-accredited PT school
- One year experience as a physical therapist preferred with knowledge or track record in sports medicine-related program development
Qualifications
- Desire to work with a phenomenal patient population and caseload that includes general orthopedics, pre/post-surgical, spine care, balance, and vestibular
