PHYSICAL THERAPIST RSP - REHABWORKS OPELIKA

About the Role

An integral member of a rehab team who all believe in East Alabama Medical Center’s mission and strive for patients to reach their best possible clinical and functional outcomes. This role provides high-quality, compassionate physical therapy services using the most up-to-date evidence-based practices. The ideal candidate is eager to learn new concepts and therapy techniques, possesses strong communication and interpersonal skills, and is highly motivated.

Responsibilities

• Obtain patient’s medical history and evaluate/administer treatments in consultation with the referring physician.
• Complete all appropriate documentation in the patient’s medical records.
• Instruct patients and their families in appropriate patient care.
• Assist in training/mentoring new hires, students, and support personnel.
• Perform clerical and other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Current Alabama State Board of Physical Therapy licensure.
• BLS certification within 90 days of hire.

Qualifications

• Minimum Education: Bachelor’s degree in Physical Therapy (BS in PT).
• Minimum Experience: 1 year of practical experience in direct patient care (any clinical setting) or proven experience in each area through completing a clinical affiliation with EAMC.
• Preferred Education: Master’s (MSPT) or Doctorate (DPT) in Physical Therapy.
• Preferred Experience: 1 year of practical experience in direct patient care in each clinical setting (acute care, outpatient, skilled nursing).
• Preferred Certifications: APTA Geriatric Clinical Specialist (GCS), Orthopedic Clinical Specialist (OCS), Neurologic Clinical Specialist (NCS), or APTA Clinical Instructor Credentialing.
