About the role

A pediatric physical therapist at Southern TN Regional Health System - Lawrenceburg will contribute to a mission of making communities healthier. Key responsibilities include performing assessments, establishing care plans, administering treatments, and evaluating patient progress.

Responsibilities

  • Performs initial and ongoing assessments of patient’s condition.
  • Establishes a plan of care appropriate to identified problems, involving the patient according to their capabilities and desires.
  • Plans, prepares, and carries out individually designed programs of physical treatment to maintain, improve, or restore physical functioning, alleviate pain, and prevent physical dysfunction.
  • Directs and supervises physical therapy assistants, students, and other support personnel.
  • Assesses competence, delegates tasks, and establishes communication channels.
  • Administers treatment involving application of physical agents, using equipment, moist packs, ultraviolet and infrared lamps, and ultrasound machines.
  • Evaluates, fits, and adjusts prosthetic and orthotic devices and recommends modifications.
  • Identifies and documents goals, anticipated progress, and plans for reevaluation.

Requirements

  • Current and active Physical Therapist license in the State of Tennessee.
  • Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS).

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
  • Passing scores on the National Physical Therapy Examination (NPTE).

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.

Pay

The position offers a competitive salary, including a $10,000 sign-on bonus.
