About the role

The Physical Therapist provides comprehensive physical therapy services, including evaluation, treatment planning, implementation, re-assessment, discharge planning, and documentation across various settings. They collaborate with healthcare professionals, adjust treatment protocols based on patient progress, and ensure accurate documentation of care activities.

Responsibilities

• Conduct evaluations, review patient history, perform assessments, explain findings, and involve patients and families in goal setting.
• Implement treatment protocols tailored to patient conditions, consult with other providers, and modify plans as needed.
• Complete discharge planning and follow-up care, ensuring timely and accurate documentation of all patient interactions.
• Manage scheduling efficiently, demonstrate professionalism, and foster patient access through flexibility and empathy.
• Engage in continuing education, serve as a clinical instructor, and mentor staff, students, and volunteers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
• Licensing in Maryland, DC, and/or Virginia as required.
• Current BLS certification for healthcare providers.
