Physical Therapist (PT) - Home Health - Full Time
About the role
Enhabit Home Health & Hospice is seeking Physical Therapists to examine and treat patients with physical impairments through physical modalities. The goal is to assist individuals who are physically challenged to improve mobility and function, independent self-care, and other skills necessary for daily living. Specialty programs include Balance and Fall Prevention, Spine Safety, Total Hip and Knee Replacement Program, and Total Shoulder Replacement Program.
Physical Therapists administer skilled care to clients requiring intermittent professional services and educate the family and other members of the health care team. These services are performed in accordance with the physician’s orders and the established plan of care, under the direction and supervision of the Branch Director.
Responsibilities
- Examine and treat patients with physical impairments using physical modalities.
- Improve patient mobility, function, and independent self-care skills.
- Participate in specialty programs such as Balance and Fall Prevention, Spine Safety, and joint replacement programs.
- Administer skilled care to clients in accordance with physician’s orders and the established plan of care.
- Educate family members and other healthcare team members on patient care.
Requirements
- Must possess a valid state driver’s license.
- Must possess automobile liability insurance.
- Must wear seatbelts at all times while driving.
- Must have dependable transportation kept in good working condition.
- Must be able to drive an automobile in all types of weather conditions.
- Must be currently licensed as a Physical Therapist in the state of employment.
