About the role

The Physical Therapist provides direct rehabilitation care to patients in a skilled nursing setting, focusing on improving functional abilities and quality of life.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement treatment plans
  • Assess patient progress
  • Supervise therapy staff
  • Ensure accurate documentation
  • Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to deliver patient-centered care
  • Provide care to a diverse population with orthopedic, neurological, and cardiopulmonary needs

Qualifications

  • Graduation from an accredited physical therapy program (BSPT, MSPT, or DPT)
  • Active licensure in the applicable state
  • Preferred one year of experience, but new graduates are encouraged to apply
  • CPR certification required

Skills and Requirements

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and email communication
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Knowledge of laws, regulations, and best practices in post-acute care
  • Ability to make independent decisions and demonstrate professionalism and integrity
  • Physical ability to perform duties, including lifting and movement

Key Duties

  • Follow treatment plans and establish and adjust goals
  • Supervise therapy staff
  • Document care accurately
  • Utilize therapy software
  • Provide excellent patient service
  • Emphasize teamwork, confidentiality, and adherence to company policies, including safety and compliance standards
