About the role

The Physical Therapist provides direct rehabilitation care in physical therapy to patients based on physician referrals, ensuring adherence to legal, regulatory, and organizational standards.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement personalized treatment plans to help patients achieve functional goals.
• Monitor and evaluate patient progress, adjusting therapy as needed.
• Oversee therapy staff, including PTAs and students, ensuring quality care.
• Document patient care accurately and timely using therapy software.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support patient recovery and well-being.
• Maintain patient rights, safety, confidentiality, and professional relationships.
• Participate in community health initiatives and adhere to company policies.
• Assist in patient evacuation and demonstrate dependable attendance.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited physical therapy program (BSPT, MSPT, or DPT).
• Current state licensure and active registration.
• CPR certification (obtained upon hire or during orientation).
• Preferred experience, but new graduates are encouraged to apply.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and email.
• Strong communication, body mechanics, and decision-making skills.
• Knowledge of laws and procedures governing post-acute care.
