Physical Therapist / PRN

About the role

Select Specialty Hospital - Savannah is a critical illness recovery hospital dedicated to providing world-class inpatient post-ICU services to chronically ill patients. Physical Therapists (PT) are integral in offering compassionate, high-quality care throughout the recovery process.

Responsibilities

• Performing initial and ongoing systematic patient assessments.
• Promoting continuous quality improvement in patient care.
• Teaching and counseling patients and families.
• Setting goals and developing treatment plans for patients.
• Working cooperatively to identify and solve patient-specific and facility-wide needs.
• Participating in discharge planning, including patient/family education and adaptive equipment placement.
• Supervising Physical Therapy Assistants and PT/PTA students.
• Conducting individual patient therapy regimens.
• Maintaining a record of patient progress and modifying treatment plans as necessary.
• Completing all necessary documentation according to department policies and procedures.
• Attending departmental, hospital, and community continuing education seminars and in-services.

Requirements

• Current state licensure as a Physical Therapist.
• Certified BLS or completion of BLS within the first 90 days of employment.

Qualifications

• Experience in acute care settings preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Skills

• Proficiency in using medical software and electronic health records.
• Effective problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.

$45.00 per hour
