About the role
PRN Physical Therapist position in an outpatient-only clinic. No weekends or holidays required. Orthopedic/Spine population preferred. No set hours or days; PRN coverage during volume surges and when staff is off.
Clinic hours: Monday–Thursday 7:00 a.m.–6:00 p.m., Friday 7:00 a.m.–5:30 p.m.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate and test clients with mechanical, anatomical, physiological impairments, developmental impairments, functional limitations, disabilities, or other health and movement-related conditions to determine prognosis and plan of therapeutic intervention.
- Assess ongoing effects of physical therapy intervention and adjust care accordingly.
- Improve quality of life through hands-on care, patient education, and prescribed movement.
- Evaluate patients after impairment, injury, or disease and create individualized, patient-centered treatment plans based on evidence-based practice.
- Re-evaluate and provide periodic reassessment of patient progress; contribute to discharge planning.
- Supervise treatment provided by students and physical therapy assistants.
- Participate in interdisciplinary care planning and make recommendations for client care interventions.
- Delegate and instruct supportive personnel in services to be provided.
- Perform all other duties as requested by the manager.
- Provide timely documentation per department, entity, and insurance provider policies to meet licensing, certification, regulatory, reimbursement requirements, and physician treatment plan.
- Use professional judgment to ensure safety to self, patients, and others at all times.
- Participate in quality initiatives.
- Meet system and departmental shift requirements.
Requirements
- Less than 1 year of applicable experience.
- Basic Life Support certification from the American Heart Association or Red Cross.
- Missouri Physical Therapist license from the Missouri Division of Professional Registration.
- Bachelor’s degree.
