Physical Therapist PRN - Acute

About the role

SSM Health St. Joseph Hospital - St. Charles is a 333-bed acute care hospital located in historic, downtown St. Charles. The hospital is a Joint Commission-certified Primary Stroke Center, a Level II Time Critical Diagnosis STEMI Center, and specializes in multiple medical specialties. This PRN position offers an excellent opportunity to be considered for full-time Physical Therapy roles as they become available throughout the year.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate all assigned patients and develop, implement, and modify treatment plans in accordance with patient needs and physician direction.
• Delegate and direct all discipline-specific therapy services for assigned patients.
• Design functional treatment programs to enable effective return to community activities.
• Serve as an educator for patients, families, students, coworkers, and self.
• Perform other professional duties related to patient care, development of therapy services, and program delivery design.

Requirements

• Current state licensure or eligibility for state licensure as a Physical Therapist.
• Certified BLS or completion within the first 90 days of employment.

Pay

• Tier I: $47 per hour (plus weekend differential). Requires 1 shift per month (must include at least one weekend shift) and 1 holiday or weekend prior to or after the shift (at manager’s discretion).
• Tier II: $52 per hour (plus weekend differential). Requires 3 shifts per month (at least 2 must be weekend shifts) and one summer and one winter holiday or weekend prior to or after the shift (at manager’s discretion).

Schedule

PRN (as needed) position with flexible scheduling requirements based on tier level. Weekend and holiday shifts are mandatory as outlined above.
