Job Description
RomTech is a medical technology company that has developed a revolutionary medical device and telemedical platform for in-home rehabilitative care. Our technology has shown to improve recovery times and patient outcomes with high patient adherence. We started in orthopedics and are expanding into cardiology, following a successful track record.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and refine clinical protocols for RomTech pilot programs and IRB-approved studies.
- Provide physical therapy services to participants enrolled in approved pilot programs and clinical studies in accordance with protocol requirements and professional standards of care.
- Collaborate with research, clinical, and operational stakeholders to support study execution and outcome evaluation.
- Maintain patient progress and assist with clinical outcome reporting and data quality initiatives.
- Provide clinical expertise regarding rehabilitation protocols, patient engagement, and recovery pathways.
- Evaluate and recommend innovative rehabilitation approaches for study populations.
- Provide subject matter expertise related to healthcare reimbursement trends, billing methodologies, and potential coding applications when evaluating pilot concepts.
- Participate in meetings and presentations with physicians, healthcare administrators, and executive leadership to communicate the clinical value of RomTech solutions and pilot initiatives.
- Support protocol compliance with applicable IRB requirements, HIPAA regulations, and professional practice standards.
- Contribute clinical insights that support new service models, product innovation, and research initiatives.
- Participate in pilot planning discussions and innovation-focused initiatives.
- Provide feedback regarding program design, workflow optimization, and clinical adoption strategies.
- Aid in preparing clinical summaries, presentations, and study-related materials.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of physical therapy principles, rehabilitation protocols, and patient recovery pathways.
- Ability to develop and evaluate clinical protocols and treatment methodologies.
- Strong analytical and clinical reasoning skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to present effectively to physicians, executive leadership, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams.
- Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work independently while supporting cross-functional objectives.
- Proficiency with clinical documentation and outcome tracking methodologies.
- Knowledge of HIPAA requirements and patient privacy standards.
- Preferred experience supporting pilot programs, clinical research, or study-based care models.
- Familiarity with IRB processes and clinical research environments.
- Knowledge of healthcare reimbursement methodologies, billing codes, and value-based care models.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with a demonstrated interest in healthcare innovation and emerging care delivery strategies.
- Experience evaluating technology-enabled rehabilitation programs.
Required Work Experience
- Minimum of 3 years of clinical physical therapy experience.
- Experience developing, implementing, or managing rehabilitation treatment plans.
- Experience working with diverse patient populations.
Education
- Required: Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) or equivalent degree required to perform licensed physical therapy services.
- PREFERRED: Additional education or training in clinical research, healthcare administration, population health, or related disciplines.
Licenses and Certifications
- Required: Active Physical Therapist license in good standing in the jurisdiction(s) where services will be provided.
- PREFERRED: Clinical research or specialty rehabilitation certifications.
- PREFERRED: Additional certifications related to orthopedics, cardiopulmonary rehabilitation, or performance improvement.
