Physical Therapist - Per Diem

Job Summary

The health system is nestled in the heart of Covington on the north shore of Lake Pontchartrain. It is a peaceful, scenic, community-oriented area with an abundance of amenities to suit every taste.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science or Masters Degree in Physical Therapy from an APTA accredited institution required.
• Active or temporary Physical Therapist license from the Louisiana State Board of Physical Therapy required. Temporary license holders must obtain active license within 90 days of hire.
• Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association required.
• Working knowledge of computer software to include, but not be limited to: word processing and spreadsheets.

Preferred Qualifications

• Trigger point dry needling certification preferred, but not required.

Physical Demands

• Must possess good physical health.
• Some requirements include but are not limited to standing, sitting or walking for long periods of time.
• Lifting at least 50 pounds is required.
• Physical Effort required: Constant (67% - 100%) – talking, hearing, seeing; Frequently (34%-66%) – NONE; Occasionally (1%-33%) – lifting, carrying, pushing/pulling, climbing (stairs, ladders, etc.), balancing, stooping, crouching, reaching, handling/feeling.
