Role Overview
As an outpatient physical therapist, you will evaluate and treat diverse patients across orthopedic, neurological, oncology, and medical-surgical conditions, providing patient-centered care within a supportive environment. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including therapists, audiologists, and physicians to deliver comprehensive rehabilitation services.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform patient evaluations and develop treatment plans according to standards of practice.
- Manage rehabilitation for pediatric, adult, and geriatric populations.
- Supervise and mentor physical therapist assistants, rehab aides, and students.
- Contribute to specialized programs such as aquatic therapy, neurology, and oncology.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in physical therapy (Master’s preferred), with current NYS license or eligibility.
- Basic Life Support certification and valid driver’s license.
- Strong clinical skills, problem-solving ability, and adaptability.
- Effective communication, conflict resolution, and cultural competence.
- Computer literacy and commitment to professional growth.
