Position Highlights

Position: Physical Therapist II - Per Diem
Flat Hourly Per Diem Rate: $51.00 per hour
Location: Elmhurst Hospital Floating Location: Edward Hospital (Naperville)
Per Diem/PRN Hours: Weekend shifts. (2) 8 hour weekend shifts required per month, 8am to 4:30pm. 2 holidays per year.

Working For Endeavor

We accomplish this by utilizing our many specialized therapists who teach at local universities. They provide mentorship within our residency and fellowship programs. While our primary population of patients is orthopedic physical therapy, we also offer Occupational and Speech services. We offer specialties in hand, neuro, vestibular, pelvic health, pediatrics, and lymphedema.

What You Will Need

  • A minimum of 1-3 years' experience with demonstration of clinical independence in an Acute-Care setting
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Therapy (if graduated before 2002)
  • OR Master of Science or Doctorate in Physical Therapy (if graduated 2002 - 2014)
  • OR Doctorate in Physical Therapy (if graduated 2015 and after).
  • Current State of Illinois Physical Therapist licensure
  • Current CPR Certification issued by the American Heart Association BLS provider
  • A valid driver’s license is required if the incumbent is selected to perform related duties at an off site location. If the incumbent uses their personal vehicle, the incumbent must maintain automobile liability coverage as required by law and evidence of such coverage may be requested.

What You Will Do

  • Provides direct physical therapy services to patients.
  • Demonstrates an appropriate level of clinical skill, as evidenced by the completion of comprehensive and insightful evaluations, and the development of individualized and effective treatment plans designed to achieve precise, functional goals.
  • Evaluates patient’s physical and functional status and plans and implements therapeutic programs that include prevention, identification, correction and alleviation of acute or prolonged movement dysfunction of an anatomic or physiologic origin.
  • Uses excellent communication skills to educate patients and engage them in their own care.
  • Stays updated regarding developments, new techniques, and equipment in the field of physical therapy.
  • Maintains a well-rounded knowledge base, and clinical reasoning skills to consistently achieve expected clinical outcomes.
