Physical Therapist - Outpatient Orthopedic Setting - Multiple Locations

About the role
You will be the first and last employee our patients interact with during their time at Reno Orthopedic Center. Your role is essential to facilitating a great patient experience by making patients feel welcome, ensuring accurate information is provided to the clinical team, and handling correct billing.
We target a 2 patient per hour caseload per therapist once fully ramped up (1:2), with flexibility based on clinician preference, patient mix, and support levels. We use Epic GardenPlot as our EMR and are actively implementing AI dictation and scribing to reduce documentation load. You will have a named mentor from your first day to guide you. There are no productivity penalties for no-show appointments, and we have a dedicated therapy authorizations team for quick approvals.
Schedule
Full Time with flexible schedules such as 4/10s, two late evenings with 3 shorter days, etc.
Location
Reno, Sparks, Fernley, Carson City, NV. We have 6 locations and will work with you to find the best fit. This position may require travel to other Reno Orthopedic Center locations as needed.
Responsibilities
- Plan, prepare, and carry out individually designed programs of physical treatment to maintain, improve, or restore physical functioning, alleviate pain, or prevent physical dysfunction in patients.
- Review physicians' referrals and patients' medical records; confer with patients and appropriate medical practitioners to plan, implement, and assess the intervention program.
- Identify and document goals, anticipated progress, and plans for reevaluation.
- Test, measure, and record in patients' electronic medical records their strength, motor development, functional capacity, sensory perception, and respiratory and/or circulatory efficiency.
- Analyze patient progress and data, record in the electronic medical record, and modify interventions to achieve anticipated goals and expected outcomes, including referring to other practitioners as needed.
Requirements
- Active Nevada Physical Therapy license from the Nevada State Board within 60 days of employment.
