Physical Therapist – Outpatient Oncology and Complex Care

About the role

Vanderbilt Health is seeking an experienced Physical Therapist to join the Dayani Center, a highly specialized outpatient rehabilitation program serving medically complex patients. This unique role offers the opportunity to work with individuals whose needs extend beyond traditional orthopedic and neurologic rehabilitation.

Responsibilities

• Analyzes comprehensive information from formal and informal assessment that is pertinent to the patient's care and management to determine a rehabilitation treatment diagnosis.
• Collaborates with stakeholders in establishing the plan of care, coordinates and implements care delivery while anticipating patient care needs across the rehabilitation continuum.
• Applies appropriate, evidence-based interventions to ensure effective outcomes and re-evaluates performance to assess patient's progress towards goals.
• Employs strategies to promote successful return to home, community, and school/vocational environments.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program
• Current Tennessee Physical Therapist license or license eligible
• Outpatient rehabilitation experience preferred
• Experience treating medically complex patients preferred
• Experience with oncology rehabilitation, chronic pain management, or aquatic therapy preferred
• Strong communication, clinical reasoning, and interdisciplinary collaboration skills
• Commitment to patient-centered care and evidence-based practice
