Physical Therapist - Outpatient HPC
About the role
The staff physical therapist supports the mission of the Hospital by providing quality physical therapy services to patients of all ages who have impairments, functional limitations, disabilities, or changes in physical function and health status resulting from injury, disease, or other causes. The physical therapist interacts and practices in collaboration with a variety of professionals, educates, engages in critical inquiry, and directs and supervises physical therapy services, including support personnel.
Physical therapy services include examination, evaluation, diagnosis, prognosis, and interventions to reduce patient disability. The physical therapist also provides prevention and wellness services.
Responsibilities
- Perform physical therapy examinations, evaluations, diagnoses, prognoses, and interventions
- Reduce patient disability through targeted interventions
- Provide prevention and wellness services
- Direct and supervise physical therapy services, including support personnel
- Collaborate with a variety of healthcare professionals involved in patient care
- Engage in critical inquiry and education related to physical therapy
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy required; Master’s or doctorate degree preferred
- Must pass orientation and initial competency assessment prior to independent patient assignment
- Must complete and pass all annual competencies
Qualifications
- Physical Therapy Board of California license required
- American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS certification required
Schedule
Assigned work hours: Monday, Wednesday, Friday 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM; Tuesday, Thursday 9:30 AM – 6:00 PM.
Pay
Pay range: $54.16 to $72.43 per hour, based on years of applicable experience.
- Evening shift differential: $3.87 per hour
- Night shift differential: $5.81 per hour
