Physical Therapist - Outpatient

Location: Cedartown, Georgia | Duration: 13 weeks | Shift: 8-hour day shift (40 hours per week)

About the Role

This is a hospital-affiliated outpatient therapy clinic specializing in occupational, physical, and speech therapy. The clinic schedules patients in 30-minute intervals and dovetails appointments. Complex evaluations are 1-hour, while simple evaluations and treatments are 30 minutes. Average patient census is 10-15 patients per day.

Responsibilities

• Provide physical therapy services for general orthopedics, debility, stroke/CVA, neurological disorders, multi-trauma, and fractures.
• Conduct evaluations and treatments in 30-minute or 1-hour sessions as appropriate.

Requirements

• Licensed as a Physical Therapist in the state of Georgia.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience (preferred).
• No first-time travelers accepted.

Support & Environment

The department includes 5 therapists, 1 Lead Therapist, 1 Office Coordinator, and 2 Rehab Aides. The clinic uses EPIC as its EMR system. No floating, on-call, weekend, or holiday requirements. Orientation consists of 5 days of departmental training.

Schedule

• Shift options: 5-8 hour days or 4-10 hour days (clinic determines consistent day off).
• No weekend rotation, on-call, or holiday expectations.
• Schedule cycle: 13 weeks.

• Scrubs: Teal and black polos provided; slacks and clean shoes preferred.
• Parking: Free.
• Remote time off (RTO) requests: Up to 7 days may be approved if the traveler extends the contract.
