About the Role
Physical Therapist in outpatient rehabilitation, providing hands-on care, patient education, and prescribed movement therapy to patients of all ages. Collaborates with a team of therapists, emphasizing mentorship and community health improvement.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate patients and develop and reassess treatment plans.
- Educate patients and families on care and therapy techniques.
- Document care and communicate with healthcare providers.
- Participate in educational and quality assurance activities.
- Provide care in various settings: outpatient, inpatient, long-term care, community, and home health.
- Pediatric therapists evaluate and treat children from birth to 18 years old, addressing motor development, strength, balance, gait, and developmental disorders.
- May float to adult units as needed.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required; Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) preferred.
- Must hold an active New Mexico Physical Therapy license.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
