Responsibilities
- Evaluate and conduct medically prescribed physical therapy treatment programs.
- Interpret plans and supervise patient treatments in accordance with the physician referral, ensuring the care, safety and wellbeing of the patient.
- Review and evaluate the patient's response or lack thereof to treatment.
- Make recommendations to the physician relative to the need to continue or discontinue physical therapy treatment.
- Provide appropriate documentation of each patient’s visit in accordance with departmental policies and procedures.
- Be responsible for the maintenance and care of all equipment and apparatus.
- Be responsible for the economical use of supplies, linens and utilities.
- Provide appropriate billing for each patient visit in accordance with departmental policies and procedures.
- Aid in on-the-job training of all ancillary personnel.
Requirements
- Minimum qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree or certificate Graduate of a Physical Therapy Program accredited by the American Physical Therapy Association or a related international degree Current state licensure as a Physical Therapist (PT) Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or the American Red Cross
- Preferred qualifications: Experience in an acute-care setting Outpatient experience

- Personal Protective Equipment: Follows Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required for procedures.

Schedule
This is a regular PRN position, with caregivers working a day/evening rotation between 8:30 a.m. – 5:30 p.m. or 10:30 a.m. – 7:00 p.m. with weekend requirements. The role requires flexibility in hours and locations, providing coverage for Weston outpatient PT clinics at Krupa and the YMCA, with potential coverage at Parkland.
