Physical Therapist - Inpatient Rehab

About the role

Responsible for evaluating, developing, and implementing individualized physical therapy treatment plans to improve patient health and function.

Responsibilities

  • Assess patients through various methods, including records, interviews, and observations.
  • Create and review personalized treatment programs, educating patients and caregivers on exercises and home care.
  • Deliver direct therapy services across different settings, tailoring interventions to each patient's physical, emotional, and cognitive needs.
  • Document evaluations, treatment plans, progress notes, and reports as required.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, physicians, and interdisciplinary team members about patient progress and needs.
  • Collaborate with healthcare team members and participate in care conferences.
  • Support professional growth through ongoing education, workshops, and literature review.
  • Supervise and oversee physical therapy assistants, technicians, and students to ensure safe, efficient patient care.
  • Maintain knowledge of equipment use and safety standards.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Active license as a Physical Therapist in the practicing state.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to perform essential functions with adequate visual and auditory acuity.
  • Commitment to teamwork, safety standards, and professional development.
