Physical Therapist Inpatient HSS at NCH

About the role

NCH and HSS are collaborating to develop a state-of-the-art musculoskeletal (MSK) center, facilitating orthopedic care through the surgical and non-surgical care spectrum. As a member of our acute care physical therapy team, you will provide care for a diverse range of patients.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patient condition and determine the appropriate treatment plan
• Set rehabilitation goals
• Educate patients and family members on the most up-to-date approaches to the rehabilitation process
• Treat a diverse range of patients, including those referred by physicians
• Treatment of Ambulatory Surgery patients
• Involvement in both pre- and post-operative evaluations and treatments, inclusive of telehealth
• Collaborate with leadership to develop goals for acute care rehab
• Ensure consistency across the enterprise with the HSS brand and culture
• Be a positive role model, inspiring enthusiasm and commitment to excellence
• Demonstrate behaviors reflecting the highest standards of ethical and professional conduct

Requirements

• Master’s Degree in Physical Therapy
• 3 years’ experience in acute care and post-operative patient setting preferred
• Clinical experience and expertise in orthopedics and sports medicine rehabilitation
• Current FL Physical Therapy licensure
• Orthopedic Clinical Specialist (OCS) from the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties (ABPTS) required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required from the American Red Cross or American Heart Association
