Physical Therapist I
About the Role
As a Physical Therapist (PT), you will provide direct patient care through evaluation and treatment for the patient population served, tailored to age and condition. You will actively improve your knowledge and skills, provide leadership, and meet competency requirements. This role involves participating in team dynamics and interdisciplinary activities.
Responsibilities
- Deliver direct patient care through evaluation and treatment.

- Provide leadership and meet competency requirements.
- Participate in interdisciplinary team activities.
- Cover Acute Care every 3rd Saturday (8 am - 12 pm).
Requirements
- Graduation with a Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctoral Degree from an APTA-accredited school of Physical Therapy.
- Current valid license or eligibility for licensure by The North Carolina Board of Physical Therapy Examiners.
- Less than three years of licensure for Clinical Ladder progression.
Schedule
- 40 hours per week.
- Monday - Friday (8 am - 5 pm).
- Acute Care coverage every 3rd Saturday (8 am - 12 pm).

ECU Health Roanoke-Chowan Hospital is a 114-bed community hospital located in Ahoskie, serving four nearby counties. The 15-bed emergency department sees approximately 18,000 patients per year. The hospital provides a wide range of health services, including medical, surgical, and radiation oncology, as well as specialized Wound Healing and Pain Management clinics that serve as referral centers.
Ahoskie, NC, is located an hour from the Norfolk/Virginia Beach area and two hours from Raleigh, Richmond, Williamsburg, and the Outer Banks.
