About the role
Balanced Physical Therapy + Wellness is looking for a passionate and experienced Physical Therapist with specialization in Neurological + Orthopedic Rehabilitation. This role is ideal for a clinician who specializes in treating neurological conditions including stroke rehabilitation, spinal cord injuries, brain injuries, Parkinson's as well as degenerative neurological conditions. This candidate will thrive in a collaborative, patient-centered environment and is committed to improving the quality of life for individuals with neurological conditions.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient evaluations to access physical conditions, limitations, and pain.
- Collaborate with patients to establish personalized treatment goals aimed at improving mobility, strength, and functionality.
- Design and implement individualized treatment plans using a combination of manual therapy, biofeedback, therapeutic exercises, and patient education.
- Monitor patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as needed.
- Educate patients on injury prevention, exercises, and home care strategies.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care.
- Provide clear communication with patients and their families regarding treatment plans, progress, and expected outcomes.
- Offer guidance and provide resources for continuing pelvic health care, including at-home exercises and self-care practices.
Requirements
- Doctorate in Physical Therapy | Bachelor’s Degree from an Accredited Program
- Current Physical Therapy license for the state of New Mexico
- Previous experience in physical therapy & neurological rehabilitation
- Possess and enhance up-to-date knowledge of treatment practices
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to build rapport with patients
- Demonstrate compassion and empathy for patients
- Enhance written and verbal communication skills
- Show strong time management skills to manage daily case load
- Display strong leadership qualities
- Perform basic computer skills
