Physical Therapist for Neurological & Orthopedic at LNRC

About the role

Balanced Physical Therapy + Wellness is looking for a passionate and experienced Physical Therapist with specialization in Neurological + Orthopedic Rehabilitation. This role is ideal for a clinician who specializes in treating neurological conditions including stroke rehabilitation, spinal cord injuries, brain injuries, Parkinson's as well as degenerative neurological conditions. This candidate will thrive in a collaborative, patient-centered environment and is committed to improving the quality of life for individuals with neurological conditions.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient evaluations to access physical conditions, limitations, and pain.
• Collaborate with patients to establish personalized treatment goals aimed at improving mobility, strength, and functionality.
• Design and implement individualized treatment plans using a combination of manual therapy, biofeedback, therapeutic exercises, and patient education.
• Monitor patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as needed.
• Educate patients on injury prevention, exercises, and home care strategies.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care.
• Provide clear communication with patients and their families regarding treatment plans, progress, and expected outcomes.
• Offer guidance and provide resources for continuing pelvic health care, including at-home exercises and self-care practices.

Requirements

• Doctorate in Physical Therapy | Bachelor’s Degree from an Accredited Program
• Current Physical Therapy license for the state of New Mexico
• Previous experience in physical therapy & neurological rehabilitation
• Possess and enhance up-to-date knowledge of treatment practices
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to build rapport with patients
• Demonstrate compassion and empathy for patients
• Enhance written and verbal communication skills
• Show strong time management skills to manage daily case load
• Display strong leadership qualities
• Perform basic computer skills
