Physical Therapist - Day Institute

About the role

SSM Health Day Institute is seeking a Physical Therapist to work in our specialized outpatient rehabilitation program across ten centers in the St. Louis Metro area. We serve individuals recovering from traumatic injury or illness who no longer require 24-hour nursing or acute rehabilitative care, using a comprehensive, multi-disciplinary approach to build skills and maximize independence. This is a full-time position (Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM) in a dynamic, collaborative environment focused on neurological and medically complex patients.

Responsibilities

• Implement high-quality physical therapy services for patients, caregivers, and facilities with minimal supervision, adhering to physical therapy principles and outpatient policies.
• Develop treatment plans, supervise assistants and aides, contribute to case management, and provide quality patient care.
• Maintain a positive level of interaction with facilities and clients.
• Enhance and expand client relations with facilities and their staff.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Therapy (required).
• Current and valid state licensure or eligibility for state licensure as a Physical Therapist (required).
• Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification (required).
