Physical Therapist- (Chesapeake Specialty Care)- Part-Time- 20-29 hrs. weekly
About the role
The Physical Therapist will carry out an individualized program of physical therapy including assessment, treatment, planning, implementation, education, and communication to maximize a patient's progress toward achieving functional goals. The Physical Therapist will also maintain a positive working relationship with other health professionals and ancillary staff.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate patients' physical abilities and limitations, as well as their medical history and overall health
- Develop treatment plans that outline the specific goals and interventions for each patient
- Use a variety of techniques to help patients improve mobility, reduce pain, and prevent disability
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care
- Monitor patients' progress and make necessary adjustments to treatment plans
- Educate patients and families about their condition and home management
- Document evaluations, treatment goals, plans, prescriptions, and signatures
Qualifications
- Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from an accredited physical therapy program (Required)
- Current Maryland Physical Therapist license in good standing (Required)
- Maintain current CPR/BLS certification
- Minimum one (1) year of outpatient physical therapy experience (Preferred)
- Knowledge of orthopedic, vestibular, and rehabilitative treatment techniques (Preferred)

- Ability to evaluate patients, develop treatment plans, and document care accurately
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with physicians, advanced practice providers, and clinical staff
- Proficiency with electronic medical records and clinical documentation systems
- Commitment to continuing education and professional development
Pay
The referenced base salary range represents the low and high end of the salary range for this position. Exact salary will depend on factors including geographic location, skills, work experience, market conditions, internal equity, responsibility factor, and span of control.
