About the role

As the Center Therapy Director at Concentra, you will be a vital member of our patient care team, playing a crucial role in providing exceptional care to patients. You will supervise staff and deliver rehabilitative services for disabled, injured, and diseased patients, aligning with Concentra’s Injury Process Management, rehabilitation philosophy, and relevant policies and regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Spend 100% of time in a center providing direct patient care, leading by example, and creating an exceptional patient experience.
  • Manage key clinical center metrics related to quality outcomes and hold therapists accountable.
  • Demonstrate all components of the Physical Therapy Guidebook and the Perfect PT visit.
  • Manage clinical outcomes and address outlier cases with staff therapists.
  • Ensure clinical workflows optimize patient capture, referral processing, and scheduling.
  • Execute therapy plans with a focus on early intervention and same-day evaluation.
  • Foster a professional and collaborative working environment that promotes teamwork, quality, and patient safety.
  • Work with the DTO to identify clinical improvement opportunities.
  • Build relationships with employers, referral sources, and payer groups through routine communications.
  • Master clinical systems for efficient documentation, coding, charge capture, and follow-through on patient care orders.
  • Ensure compliance with individual State Practice Act, Rules and Regulations, and Workers’ Compensation regulations.
  • Drive patient and client experience and satisfaction metrics.
  • Actively participate in CLT meetings to improve quality, patient safety, and outlier management.
  • Maintain and cultivate relationships with center clients and payers, responding to requests within 24 hours.
  • Manage clinical and support staffing levels with the DTO and CLT to optimize workflows and efficiencies.
  • Promote and exemplify Concentra’s Orange Book values.
  • Develop colleague success through all aspects of the talent life cycle for staff therapists and PTSS.
  • Foster an environment of collaboration, professionalism, patient safety, and continuous improvement.
  • Lead collaboration within the CLT and across disciplines to achieve clinical and business outcomes.
  • Provide input on center financial drivers (GRV, PI, New Injuries, TAT) to achieve annual business plans.
  • Promote center initiatives and workflows consistent with other centers.
  • Demonstrate financial awareness and provide input on the center budget and key business metrics.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science or advanced degree in Physical Therapy (Doctor of Physical Therapy) from an accredited college or university.
  • Must meet licensure requirements of the jurisdiction.
  • At least two years of demonstrated clinical experience.

  • Ability to make decisions using logic to identify key facts, explore alternatives, and propose quality solutions.
  • Outstanding customer service skills and professionalism in dealing with people.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information (HIPAA and PHI) in compliance with laws and policies.
  • Demonstrated outstanding clinical knowledge of physical/occupational therapy services.
  • Dedication to Concentra’s philosophy of therapy in occupational medicine.
  • Interest in leadership of therapy staff and demonstrated leadership qualities.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to motivate employees.

Pay

This position is eligible to earn a base compensation rate in the range of $82,400 to $89,600 annual salary, depending on job-related factors such as level of experience, geographic location, and seniority.

Schedule

32 hours per week with a set schedule. Monthly and quarterly bonus incentives are available.
