Physical Therapist - Carmi
Job Details
As a Physical Therapist with Wabash General’s outpatient team, you will:
- Assess & Diagnose: Conduct comprehensive orthopaedic and musculoskeletal evaluations to identify movement dysfunction, pain generators, and functional limitations.
- Design & Deliver: Craft individualized treatment plans—leveraging manual therapy, therapeutic exercise, soft-tissue mobilization, and patient education—to accelerate recovery and optimize wellness.
- Restore & Prevent: Guide patients through interventions that restore mobility, maintain strength and fitness, and minimize risk of reinjury or chronic disability.
- Collaborate & Communicate: Work closely with other PTs & PTAs, rehab techs, physicians, and interdisciplinary colleagues; document progress clearly and educate patients and families every step of the way.
- Champion Community Health: Lead outreach efforts, wellness screenings, and educational workshops to raise awareness of our outpatient services and preventive care strategies.

Requirements
Licensed in good standing by the state of Illinois as a physical therapist, graduated from an APTA approved curriculum. Cognitive and motor skills necessary to carry out skilled therapy evaluations, treatments, and documentation according to the Illinois Physical Therapy Practice Act, APTA Core Values, and the Joint Commission. CPR certified. Must be obtained within 6 months of hire. Must be able to perform the essential functions of the job as defined in the job description and physical activities summary.
