About the role

The Physical Therapist at University Orthopedics is responsible for evaluating patients with musculoskeletal dysfunction, designing treatment plans, and documenting services to comply with regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate patients of various ages with musculoskeletal dysfunction
  • Design and discuss appropriate treatment interventions based on findings in evaluation
  • Perform necessary documentation to ensure compliance with federal and insurance regulations
  • Manage patient progress through therapy
  • Provide timely and appropriate billing information for services provided
  • Perform other clinical duties as assigned by the PT Department to meet patient needs
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the Manager to meet department needs

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited physical therapy program
  • Licensed or eligible for licensure as a physical therapist in the State of RI
  • Previous experience in outpatient orthopedics/musculoskeletal rehab preferred
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Attention to detail

  • Excellent interpersonal and time management skills
  • Must be able to travel to all sites if/when necessary
