Physical Therapist
About the role
This role provides skilled Physical Therapy evaluations and treatments to outpatients and inpatients upon a physician’s referral within the scope of current accepted physical therapy practices. Responsible for evaluating, planning, directing, and administering physical therapy modalities of treatment. Assists patients to reach their maximum performance and level of functioning while learning to live within the limits of their capabilities.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate patients’ physical condition and develop individualized treatment plans
- Treat patients using physical therapy modalities such as exercise, manual therapy, and electrotherapy
- Assist patients in achieving their functional goals and improving their quality of life
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care
- Document patient progress and communicate with referring physicians and other healthcare providers
Requirements
- Doctorate, master’s, or bachelor’s degree in physical therapy
- Licensed with the Wisconsin Board of Physical Therapy
- Current license with the Minnesota Board of Physical Therapy (Specific only to employees practicing in Minnesota)
- Current BLS- American Heart Association or American Red Cross (BLS for Health Professionals)
Qualifications
- Experience as a Physical Therapist, preferably in a medical setting
- Membership in a related professional organization
