Physical Therapist

Overview

Assesses, plans, organizes, and participates in rehabilitative programs that improve functional mobility, relieve pain, and correct disabling conditions resulting from disease or injury. Provides age-appropriate education for clients and caregivers. Supervises and assumes responsibility for care provided by identified team members.

Education

• Bachelor's Degree (Required)
• Master's Degree (Preferred)
• Doctorate Degree in Physical Therapy

Certification/License

• Physical Therapist License (Required)

Experience

• Performs modalities/therapeutic interventions in accordance with accepted standards of care and department policies and procedures.
• Provides effective instruction to the patient and family through standardized educational programs and/or individualized training.
• Initiates, develops, and maintains collaborative interactions with internal and external team members, patients, and family members to improve patient outcomes.
• Selects and performs the appropriate assessment procedures.
• Establishes and updates formal plan of care to address individual patient needs.
