Physical Therapist

About the role

The Physical Therapist at Miami Valley Hospital provides comprehensive evaluation and treatment for outpatient patients, potentially including neuro, orthopedic, and sports medicine services.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates, treats, documents, delegates, and discharges patients according to service guidelines.
• Engages in interdisciplinary patient care management.
• Bills appropriately for services and supplies provided, matching documentation and service charges.
• Provides oversight of Physical Therapist Assistants.
• Provides patient/family education.
• Participates in programs/service performance improvement activities.
• Manages case load per department standards.
• Engages in patient satisfaction efforts and seeks opportunities to enhance patient experiences.
• Passes all required hospital/department competencies and related testing; applies to everyday performance.

Requirements

• Education: Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
• Licensure/Certification/Registration: Current Physical Therapy license in State of Ohio (new graduates welcomed).
• BLS certification within 30 days of hire.

Qualifications

• Minimum Level of Experience Required: No prior job-related work experience.
• Preferred experience: 1-3 years of job-related experience.
