Nexus Neurorecovery Center is part of Nexus Health Systems, a leading provider of specialized healthcare services for individuals with complex medical, neurological, and behavioral conditions. Our Neurorecovery program provides interdisciplinary, patient-centered care focused on improving functional independence and quality of life for patients with neurologic and developmental disorders. Key Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive physical therapy evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans
- Provide evidence-based therapy focused on motor control, mobility, balance, gait, and functional movement
- Treat patients with neurologic, developmental, and complex medical conditions
- Collaborate with occupational therapy, speech therapy, psychology, nursing, and medical staff
- Utilize adaptive equipment, assistive technology, and therapeutic modalities as appropriate
- Educate patients and families on therapy goals and home programming
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in the electronic medical record
- Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings, case conferences, and care planning
- Support program development and quality improvement initiatives
- Follow all regulatory, safety, and compliance standards
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Physical Therapy required. Doctorate (DPT) or advanced degree preferred
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of clinical experience required. Experience in neurologic, pediatric, or rehabilitation therapy preferred. Experience with neurodevelopmental or medically complex patients strongly preferred
- Licensure / Certification: Current Texas Physical Therapist license required. BLS certification required. Board Certification in Neurologic Physical Therapy preferred
