Physical Therapist

About the role

You'll provide compassionate, culturally grounded care to American Indian and Alaska Natives, addressing social and emotional needs that affect health. Work with a dedicated team to strengthen wellness, resilience, and community well-being.

Responsibilities

• Provide physical therapy services to American Indian and Alaska Native patients.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Assess patient needs and develop treatment goals.
• Document patient progress and communicate effectively with patients, families, and other healthcare providers.
• Participate in continuing education and professional development activities.

Requirements

• A Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from an accredited program.
• A current license to practice physical therapy in at least one state.
• Experience working with American Indian and Alaska Native populations preferred.
• Cultural competency training completed or in process.
• Knowledge of cultural humility and trauma-informed care principles.

Qualifications

• Pass a background check.
• Pass a drug screen.
• Pass a REAL ID requirement beginning May 7, 2025, in accordance with 6 C.F.R. 37.5 (2021).
