About the role
As a Physical Therapist at Engage, you’ll provide individualized, evidence-based care that helps older adults improve mobility, maintain independence, and enhance overall quality of life. You’ll work with a diverse geriatric population across independent living, assisted living, dementia, and memory care settings while building meaningful relationships with patients and collaborating closely with the broader Engage team.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations to assess strength, balance, mobility, pain, and functional impairments.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans focused on improving mobility, reducing pain, and restoring function.
- Deliver hands-on interventions including therapeutic exercise, balance training, gait training, neuromuscular reeducation, and manual therapy techniques.
- Promote resident safety and fall prevention through functional assessments, education, and preventative interventions.
- Provide care across one or more assisted living communities while maintaining strong communication with residents, families, and interdisciplinary care teams.
- Educate residents and caregivers on home exercise programs and strategies to support long-term independence and wellness.
- Maintain timely, accurate documentation and monitor patient progress using EMR systems in compliance with state and facility standards.
- Collaborate with fellow therapists and support staff to deliver coordinated, patient-centered care.
- Participate in ongoing professional development through mentorship, continuing education, workshops, and clinical training opportunities.
- Build meaningful relationships with residents, families, community staff, and colleagues to support exceptional patient outcomes.
Qualifications
- Graduate of a CAPTE-accredited Physical Therapy program
- Active state PT license in good standing (or eligibility for licensure)
- Passion for delivering compassionate, evidence-based patient care to a geriatric population
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a collaborative, team-oriented mindset
- Ability to work independently while staying connected with a supportive clinical team
- Commitment to continuous learning and professional growth

Pay
- $75,000 - $85,000 annually
