Responsibilities
- Perform physical therapy initial evaluations according to APTA standards
- Develop a comprehensive plan of care for each patient based on initial evaluation findings
- Understand reimbursement standards by insurance carrier and be able to design a clinically superior patient program that allows for heightened patient success
- Demonstrate consistent Compliance excellence by:
- Develop short and long-term goals for patients
- Implement plan of care
- Provide comprehensive therapy treatment to improve patient well-being and return to optimized functionality
- Consistently report patient progress to referring physicians and other professionals involved in the ongoing treatment of the patient
- Create and document home exercise plans for patients to improve the benefits of physical therapy
- Plan and execute the discharge of the patient
- Maintain contemporary knowledge in physical therapy practice through educational workshops, continuing education, etc.
- Communicate with stakeholders in a professional manner, including, but not limited to, other health care professionals, insurance companies, third-party payers, case managers, etc.
- Current license to practice physical therapy in the state of Wisconsin
- Experience in orthopedics and/or physical & rehabilitation medicine preferred
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Passing score on the National Physical Therapy Exam (NPTE)
