Physical Therapist

Responsibilities

• Perform physical therapy initial evaluations according to APTA standards
• Develop a comprehensive plan of care for each patient based on initial evaluation findings
• Understand reimbursement standards by insurance carrier and be able to design a clinically superior patient program that allows for heightened patient success
• Demonstrate consistent Compliance excellence by:
• Develop short and long-term goals for patients
• Implement plan of care
• Provide comprehensive therapy treatment to improve patient well-being and return to optimized functionality
• Consistently report patient progress to referring physicians and other professionals involved in the ongoing treatment of the patient
• Create and document home exercise plans for patients to improve the benefits of physical therapy
• Plan and execute the discharge of the patient
• Maintain contemporary knowledge in physical therapy practice through educational workshops, continuing education, etc.
• Communicate with stakeholders in a professional manner, including, but not limited to, other health care professionals, insurance companies, third-party payers, case managers, etc.

Qualifications

• Current license to practice physical therapy in the state of Wisconsin
• Experience in orthopedics and/or physical & rehabilitation medicine preferred
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Passing score on the National Physical Therapy Exam (NPTE)
