Job Responsibilities
- Absorb and implement individualized therapy programs as directed by the Physical Therapist.
- Monitor patients’ status before, during, and after therapy sessions, and report findings to a Physical Therapist.
- Assist patients in performing specific exercises as part of their therapy plan.
- Utilize technology and equipment to support therapy activities.
- Communicate with patients and their families about therapy goals and progress.
Requirements
- Valid California Physical Therapist Assistant license (or pending).
- Graduation from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
- Experience in orthopedic and geriatric settings.
- Confidentiality in handling sensitive patient information.
- Outstanding interpersonal communication skills.
Qualifications
- Desired qualifications include 2-3 years of clinical experience in physical therapy.
- Experience in outpatient physical therapy settings.
- Experience with neurological cases.
- Experience with electronic health records and digital documentation.
