Job Responsibilities

  • Absorb and implement individualized therapy programs as directed by the Physical Therapist.
  • Monitor patients’ status before, during, and after therapy sessions, and report findings to a Physical Therapist.
  • Assist patients in performing specific exercises as part of their therapy plan.
  • Utilize technology and equipment to support therapy activities.
  • Communicate with patients and their families about therapy goals and progress.

Requirements

  • Valid California Physical Therapist Assistant license (or pending).
  • Graduation from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
  • Experience in orthopedic and geriatric settings.
  • Confidentiality in handling sensitive patient information.
  • Outstanding interpersonal communication skills.

Qualifications

  • Desired qualifications include 2-3 years of clinical experience in physical therapy.
  • Experience in outpatient physical therapy settings.
  • Experience with neurological cases.
  • Experience with electronic health records and digital documentation.
